PUPUKE TAHAROTO DEMOLITION
Senior Scaffold was chosen by Focus Construction to privode scaffolding service for Pupuke Taharoto Demolition in late 2019.
Pupuke Taharoto building complex is scheduled to be demolished for a new hospital building of North Shore Hospital. A fully wrapped scaffold with temporary roof is needed to tackle 3 major issues:
-
Contain the dust and debris in the demolition.
-
Prevent asbestos in the building from eascaping during removal.
-
Prevent stormwater in demolition from contaminating the soil.
Build a safe and reliable scaffold, which is free standing, with a temporary roof 3 metres higher than the building and 6 metres away from the building is no easy task. Due to Senior Scaffold's experience on temporary roof over the years, we were able to sovle this issue with some clever designings and tons of counterweights.
-
Over 1,000 aluminium trusses used.
-
Over 15,000m² of scaffold erected.
-
Multiple trussed-bridge walkways.
-
Top notch health and safety management through erection and dismantling.
